NOC EXPLAINER VIDEO
Client : Amazon Network Operating Center
Agency: Amazon
This piece was made for a group at Amazon who wanted a way to easily explain their business value to the larger organization. The original ask was for a simple talking head, filmed in an office on Amazon’s campus. I felt that there was room in the budget to make something more visually compelling so I pushed for a live action animation hybrid video.
The team of editors and animators that I directed was not used to productions with so much complexity. I built detailed storyboards to guide the actor and style frames to assure that the set would be built in a way that would complement the animation. On the day of the shoot I directed the lighting and performance and made certain that the post production team would have what they needed to finish the shots. With a clear vision and a well-documented plan I was able to manage client expectations and keep all members of the production and post production team on the same page.
The result was a piece that raised the quality bar for the team I was managing and it inspired them to think bigger with future projects.
